New venue for Severn Valley poultry debates

From January 2013 meetings of the Severn Valley Poultry Discussion Group, at which members of the poultry industry meet for dinner and spirited debate, will be held at a new venue, The Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye.

At 2013’s first meeting, on Wednesday 23 January, guest speaker Prof Patrick Wall, associate professor of public health at University College Dublin will propose that “poultry producers consider themselves in the human health business”.

“Dr Wall will be explaining to the group that, with a growing population, eggs offer an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and nutrients for people of all ages,” says committee secretary Anthony Harman of Humphrey Pullets. “It will be an interesting and engaging debate, and a good theme to kick off the meetings in our new venue.”

Further meetings will be held at the Chase Hotel on 24 April, 10 July and 23 October 2013.

Tickets for can be booked in advance by ringing Anthony Harman on 07775 580 363.
