Europe’s leading mushroom producer opened a €12m growing house in Tyholland, Ireland this week.

Tyholland Mushrooms is an associate of Monaghan Mushrooms, Europe’s largest producer and supplier of 45% of the mushrooms consumed in the UK, which is in turn the EU’s largest mushroom market.

The new site will generate 150 jobs in 18 individual growing houses. Monaghan also contracts with 27 individual growers.
