Nissan unveils bizarre-looking tracked X-Trail
Nissan has built a one-off special version of its popular X-Trail SUV fitted with tracks for ultimate off-roading.
The rubber kit is designed for snow and sand, with 122cm long, 38cm wide tracks built for extra flotation and grip.
It means there are specially designed wheel wells to handle the extra height, but everything is standard factory issue.

Power comes in the form of a 170hp block capable of churning out 240Nm torque, which the company says is plenty for climbing snow banks and sand dunes.Â
Further kit on the equipment list includes tinted headlights, custom fender flares, LED lights and a Warn 4K winch.
Unfortunately, this model isn’t available on the market but you can pick one up with regular wheels for £22,855.
A new Sport model – which is slightly smaller, sportier and more affordable goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide this spring.
