Agritechnica 09: New Holland launches range-topping 6090
New Holland’s mid-size T6090, the new flagship of the T6000 range, boosts from 165hp to an impressive 200hp when fitted with electronic engine management.
Weighing just under 6.5t, the company boasts that this lightweight tractor has a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 28kg/hp.
The six-cylinder, viscous-cooled 6.74-litre engine can be mated to either NH’s Power Command transmission or Range Command with either 40kph Eco or 50kph boxes.
It’s the first tractor in the T6000 range to offer the SideWinder II armrest, joystick and Intelliview III monitor featured in its larger stable mates and, although it’s small, can be fitted with 650/65 R42s.
Available on it’s largest foragers, New Holland’s IntelliFill system uses a 3D camera mounted under the spout to guide crop into moving trailers, similar to the system launched by Claas at the show, too.
Using a constantly updated 3D image, the empty trailer and its surrounding are located and the spout is controlled accordingly until the trailer’s full. It can even work at night, says New Holland.
