Agritechnica 2011: AHWI flail cutter

This may look like something from Thunderbirds, but the unstoppable RT800 flail cutter from German maker AHWI is aimed to cutting a swath through brush and woodland for companies wanting to put in pipelines or fences. It has a 670hp engine and the flail is tough enough to chew through 4ft diameter trees.
The unusual tapered track is designed to allow it to go through deep water without drowning the rear hub. It costs 400,000 euros.
Natural England certainly wouldn’t like it.
