Lemken’s clever plough-mounted press appeared a couple years ago and now Gregoire Besson has come up with its version.
The lightweight double press is mounted on a simple frame off the side of the main plough body and it’s flipped over at the ends by a hydraulic ram.
Each of the double press wheels is connected via a linkage to make width adjustment more straightforward. These are also spring mounted so they follow contours better and bounce over obstacles.
At the moment the press is only available on the firm’s RX series ploughs and the biggest so far is a five-furrow.
