Italian tractor manufacturer Same introduced a new transmission control for its 56-86hp Dorado tractor range at the SIMA show in Paris this week.

Dubbed Stop and Go, the new system works much like an automatic car. When in gear, all the operator needs to do is depress the brake to disengage the driveline and bring the machine to a halt. Releasing the brake pedal prompts the tractor to set off again.

Initially available on the firm”s smaller Dorado tractors, Same has hinted that the system will become available on its larger tractors in due course.
