Machinery highlights from Denmark’s Agromek show
Denmark’s premier agricultural event – Agromek – took place recently. Emily Padfield and Jonathan Page round up the highlights:
Lamborghini CVT 
Lamborghini unveiled its new CVT-equipped R6 VRT tractors at the show.
Based on sister-brand Deutz Fahr’s TTV, the two model line-up is equipped with a version of the ZF stepless gearbox also used by John Deere in its mid-size AutoPowr tractors.
Power is provided by 7.1-litre Deutz 6-cylinder engines which pump out a maximum of 164hp and 174hp, depending on model.
The Lamborghini R6 VRT is to become available to UK farmers later this year. Price for the 174hp model is expected to be about £58,500.
Woodchip Boiler
A low maintenance, self cleaning woodchip/grain boiler is now available from Czech-manufacturer Benekov-Liagro.
Without the need for mechanical or manual cleaning, ash is flushed through by incoming fuel. Auto ignition and multiple thermostats come as standard. Available in the UK from Manco Energy, with prices starting at £3400

TLV Air Purifier
Despite looking like an overgrown patio heater, the TLV Air Purifier removes impurities from the air such as ammonia, fungus spores and diesel particles, reducing the risk of contamination in potato and onion stores and pack-houses.
Where air is drawn in at the base of the tower, water spray nozzles form a mist to bind dust particles together.
This is separated out at the top of the tower in a centrifugal chamber. Water is then recycled to repeat the process.

JF triple-mower
JF-Stoll’s new GXT 12005 triple-mower will knock down 11.5m (38ft) of grass in one swipe.
To reduce loading on the tractor’s rear axle and make the whole rig more stable, the rear two mower units are carried on a trailed chassis.
The wheels of this trailed unit are steerable so that headland turns can be kept tight and the mower can be set up to follow the tractor’s wheelings.
Suspension allows for contour-following and the mower units cane be raised individually for awkward areas. Aimed at replacing 8-9m front and rear combination mowers, the GXT is targeted at the contractor with 250hp+ on tap.

ATV Gate
This New Zealand-manufactured ATV gate removes the need to leave the bike when travelling from field to field. Light pressure at its base releases the locking pawl at the top, allowing ATVs to push it over.
The gate then springs back, returns to its closed position and locks in place, preventing livestock from escaping. (www.fence.dk)
Agrometer Umbilical Slurry Injector
A new umbilical slurry injector was on offer from Agrometer. With hoses up to 700m long, large parcels of land can to be covered without having to decouple, saving time and labour. Prices start from £71,800 for a complete system (agrometer@agrometer.dk; +45 7672 1300).
