Claydon shows 3m Hybrid model

Claydon has introduced a smaller, 3m Hybrid drill to compliment its larger 4m, 4.8m and 6m strip-till machines.

Aimed at farmers running tractors around the 150hp mark, the narrower model is fitted with the same “hybrid” two-tine arrangement as its bigger siblings and is around 1t lighter than the existing 3m SR drill. This makes it not only easier to pull but cheaper to run in terms of wearing parts, says sales director Spencer Claydon. It continues to use a Sulky MS seeding unit, and seed rate adjustment can be done on the move. For those wanting a more sophisticated operating system, it’s possible to opt for an electric-driven Accord set-up. The base model costs £33,000.
