East Anglian farmers learn the benefits of effective communication at a LEAF-organised training day at David Felce”s Midloe Grange Farm, Southoe, Cambs. Over the past few months Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF) has worked with hundreds of farmers to encourage them to talk about all that is positive in agriculture. They have been trained how to inspire audiences, make the most of the media and host effective farm walks. “We hope that, as a result of the training, farmers will gain the confidence to stand up and shout about all the positive work they are doing to produce healthy food and care for the environment,” said programme organiser Roly Puzey.
