Gearbox upgrade for Landini tractors

Landini announced a range of transmission updates to its Powerfarm tractors at the LAMMA show this week.
Designed to make the machines more suited to livestock and loader work, the most significant change is the introduction of a steering-column mounted powershuttle lever for direction changes without using the clutch pedal.
A high-low splitter has also been added which enables the operator to reduce forward speed and change down a gear when needs require, such as baling in an uneven crop or ploughing through a tough spot.
The four models in the Powerfarm range specified with the new transmission come with 24-forward and 12-reverse speeds geared to 40kph.
Cost difference over a standard gearbox is an added ÂŁ2,000 to the list price, making the Powerfarm 75, 85, 95 and 105 models ÂŁ25,227, ÂŁ26,227, ÂŁ26,974 and ÂŁ28,613 respectively.
