Even the best-engineered and most pampered bits of farm kit are capable of suffering the odd mechanical meltdown or driver-related mishap.

When it happens it is no laughing matter, but as time heals the wounds of the wallet-busting repair bill it becomes a little easier to see the funny side.

A problem shared is a problem halved, so Farmers Weekly is launching a new series featuring some of the worst machinery-related disasters.
