Bale-wrapping equipment specialist Tanco announced that it now owns the rights for the Bale Shear, first previewed in concept form on the company’s stand at Grassland Southwest last year.

The clever system grips the net and plastic wrap while at the same time splitting the bale in half, meaning operators no longer have to get out of the cab to remove the wrap. It’s ideal for feeding directly along feed passages or into diet feeders, says the Irish company. Because it uses just one standard hydraulic coupling, it’s ideal for front loaders as well as telehandlers and costs in the region of £2800.
