McHALE, FLUSHED with the success of its Fusion baler/wrapper system, of which over 70 have been sold in the UK, has decided to launch the baler unit as a separate entity.

A fixed chamber machine, the F550 can handle silage, hay and straw and uses 17 rollers to produce bales with a diameter of 1.25m.

Users can opt to employ a set of knives to chop the crop as it passes into the chamber – the crop enters the baler via a 2m wide pick-up.

Due to be available in limited numbers for next year, its price is listed at 24,500.
