Budget balers and grassland kit from Poland will soon be available in the UK.
Glamorgan-based Equipment Supply Services – the company which announced its intention to start marketing Caruelle sprayers at the Cereals event – is to act as UK agent for SIPMA machinery.
With a chequered history as both a privately owned enterprise and a state-run outfit under the Communist regime, SIPMA has been building farm equipment for over 100 years for domestic markets and Western European manufacturers. Within Eastern Europe the company claims to hold a 40% share of the market for grassland kit.
Initially the range of mowers, tedders, bale-wrappers, conventional, round and big square balers will be sold direct to farmers by ESS. Then, once a decent sales base has been built up, it is the intention that the company will transfer its efforts to establishing a nationwide dealer network.
Specifically designed for working in hilly conditions, this semi-mounted SIPMA bale-wrapper transfers weight to the rear axle of the tractor to improve stability.
