Hayboss systems now sold through AGCO dealers

More than 80% of all big balers in the US run with some sort of bale preservative system, and AGCO/Massey Ferguson has now secured the supply of such a unit in the UK through its dealer network.
The Hayboss system preserves forage quality by applying an additive while baling, and also allows farmers to bale at moisture levels of up to 20% without losing quality, according to Massey Ferguson’s Mark Kitson. It’s possible to control the application rate from the cab, and the system uses optical sensors on the pick-up and two star-wheel moisture sensors on the back to maintain consistency. It can also be integrated into the weigher system and costs about ÂŁ6,800 – depending on the options chosen.
