Hydraulic roller improves control for Kuhn hedgecutters

Buyers of Kuhn’s mid-range Poly-Longer and Multi-Longer grass- and hedgecutters can now add a hydraulic roller option that the firm reckons provides better control when operating on verges, ditches and riverbanks.
The roller is controlled directly from the tractor spool and helps to encourage good ground contour following when cutting uneven terrain. It can extend 62mm outside the flail head and is retracted out of the way during hedgecutting to help leave a tidy trim.

The Poly-Longer is a 5.5m horizontal-reach machine with four-function joystick with electric proportional control. It has a parallelogram pivot-mounted straight arm and 116deg slew.
The hydraulic roller option is available on the 1.2m belt drive flail head and adds ÂŁ986 to a machine price of ÂŁ24,593. The base price of the larger Multi-Longer GII is ÂŁ30,847, with the same cost for adding the roller.
