Kuhn’s latest wrapper features auto bale loading

Auto bale loading is an interesting new feature on the latest round bale wrapper from Kuhn Farm Machinery. The trailed RW 1600 C turntable wrapper has an integrated Autoload function as standard to boost workrate when handling 120cm wide x 100/150cm deep bales that weigh up to 1,200kg.
Kuhn says this is a new system that automatically picks up a bale with the loading arm and puts it on the wrapping table, without any action needed from the driver. Picking up a second bale with the loading arm during the wrapping process is also possible – the bale will be picked up and held half way to the wrapping position.
When the wrapping process is ready the waiting bale automatically loads further on to the wrapping table. The tractor driver can hold both hands on the steering wheel and doesn’t have to continually push buttons to load the bale. The design means there’s no need for an active fall damper, either, so the bale can be unloaded on the move.
The machine is controlled by a fully automatic computer system with integrated joystick, says the company. This, combined with the Autoload system, means the RW 1600 C should be one of the fastest single-stretcher turntable wrappers on the market, the company says. The process can be interrupted and started at any time with the play/pause function.
The RW 1600 C also has 750mm aluminium pre-stretchers with cone-shaped outer ends, auto film cutter and storage for up to sixspare film rolls.
