Kuhn’s Performer cultivator shows at Tillage-Live

Kuhn’s Performer single-pass cultivator was on show at last week’s Tillage-Live event.

It can be used in disc-only or tine-only mode. It comes in 4m and 5m working widths and consists of twin rows of discs working at 10cm depth, four rows of 35cm depth tines, levelling discs and a new 700mm diameter HD-Liner roller.

The disc gangs function independently of each other and comprise 510mm diameter serrated discs, with 30 in total on the 4m model and 38 on the 5m machine.

Tines are arranged in four rows with 280mm inter-tine spacing and 850mm underbeam clearance. Tines are curved for good mixing, says the company, and have a non-stop hydraulic breakback. Levelling discs are mounted on curved arms and height-adjustable border discs are fitted.

The HD-Liner roller is notched for better rotation and provides 225kg/m downward pressure. The roller can be lifted out of work when not required.
