LAMMA 2009: New Holland 9060 too big to be sold in the UK

New Holland has announced that it will sell the £171,526 385hp 9030 and £219,888 492hp 9050 articulated tractors in the UK, but not the biggest in the range, the 540hp 9060 that was seen at last year’s Cereal event.

The 9060 is too big for UK conditions, the company says, whereas the smaller two make a good alternative to tractor machines from the likes of Challenger, Case IH and Deere.

“Our artics are not a big market in the UK but their lugging power, longevity and relative simplicity have built a loyal customer base still running older Ford FWs and Versatiles who are looking to change them”, said a New Holland spokesman.
