Le Boulch launches aluminium trailer
This colossal aluminium trailer from Le Boulch is 3t lighter than a steel alternative at 7.5t.
French regulations dictate a maximum total weight of 32t, so this unit can carry 3t more than its conventional counterpart.
The body has been formed out of two aluminium panels bonded together in a sandwich construction, and the manufacturer says it is at least as strong as a steel alternative.
The six wheels are fitted with Michelin Cargo X Bib tyres and the trailer has its own oil tank and pto-powered hydraulic pump as well as a hydraulic tailgate.
The body is 180cm high, 220cm wide and 860cm long, and prices will range from €65,000 to €85,000.
