Front weights are traditionally low-tech items that don’t change much from decade to decade and most farmers use either a set of wafer weights or a block picked up on the front linkage.

Lynx Engineering has obviously given the subject some thought judging by this clever add-on weight system.

The main 800kg or 1000kg base weight is made from a mineral composite that is said to be cheaper than a steel weight and less bulky than concrete.

Lowering the weight to the ground allows you to add and remove self-aligning add-on weights of 400kg or 600kg.

Prices are £1160 for the 800kg base weight, £1390 for the 1000kg base weight, £570 for the 400kg drive-in weight and £870 for the 600kg drive-in weight.
