Massey launches AgCommand telematics system

AgCommand, Massey Ferguson’s long-awaited Telematics system, was finally launched at LAMMA.
Like the systems from Claas and Deere, it uses a set of sensors on the machine that send on-the-go machine information back to headquarters via a mobile phone network.
It can be fitted to any self-propelled machine and can show anything from engine rpm to machine settings to time spent working and stationary.
The system also uses GPS, so it can show exactly where in the field a combine empties, for example.
It’s probably not something you’d have on a 250-acre arable farm but it gives the big operator a chance to identify where fuel and time savings can be made.
