The ever-popular McConnel Shakaerator has

 a new attachment option. The Culti-Packer

replaces the standard rear packer with two toothed rollers, linked by a chain drive is geared so that the smaller front roller runs slower than the rear. This is said to provide an aggressive shearing effect on

excavated clods while ensuring even consolidation.

But there is a catch – the new unit adds £7000 to the basic price of a 3m Shakaerator, taking it to a

hefty £16,000.
