McCormick showcase XTX 145 and 165 at SIMA

While much the recent news about McCormick has centred on the shift of tractor production from Doncaster to Italy, there were also two different-looking tractor models on the company’s stand at Paris.
The XTX 165 and XTX 145 muster 167hp and 145hp respectively and slot in below the existing XTX 185, XTX 200 and XTX 215 models.
But they look markedly different, thanks to racy new styling that involves one-piece bonnets, rounded rear mudguards and a four-pillar cab.
Both tractors have 6.75 litre Tier 3 common rail Cummins BetaPower engines with McCormick’s Power Management system giving an automatic power boost in transport and pto work. This takes the XTX 145 to 156hp and the XTX165 to 171hp.
The standard gearbox gives a 32 forward, 24 reverse setup and the linkage is rated at 8t. There is also a choice of manual or programmed transmission controls and mechanical or electronic spool-valve controls.
