Meet the Farmers Weekly machinery team

Our machinery team may look a youthful bunch, but collectively they have year’s of experience of driving and testing farm machinery. Here is a quick insight into who they are:
David Cousins is the machinery editor on Farmers Weekly and has worked for the magazine for over 30 years. He had two stints on the original Power Farming magazine, one as information assistant in 1982, then a second as editor in 1990. He also drives the combine on the 240ha (600-acre) family farm in Essex.
James Andrews is a farmer’s son from Shropshire and spent several years working part-time on the farm before studying at Newcastle University. He spent two years working as an arable reporter on Farmers Weekly’s arable desk before taking the role of Power Farming editor.
Oliver Mark grew up on a 160ha (240ac) farm specialising in thatching straw and went on to study agriculture at Reading University and machinery maintenance at Warwickshire College. He joined the Farmers Weekly machinery desk after a stint working on an arable farm in Bedfordshire.
