Dutch feeder maker BvL showed its smallest and largest tub diet feeders available in Britain.
The 5cu m Agilo (left), priced £11,400, could be used by smaller beef producers or as a mixer for producing dry cow diets on large dairy units using a much bigger machine for the cows in milk.
The 36cu m triple screw V-Mix would fulfil that role for herds of around 300 cows, notes BvL’s Paddy Flynn.
It comes as standard with a new three-speed powershift gearbox that enables a 140hp tractor to cope with the start-up torque of the big the machine. While speed two would be used for mixing, speed three would provide a more even delivery of feed to the dispensing outlet.
