Solway Recycling of Dumfries has launched a circular lamb adopter made from 100% recycled agricultural plastic.

The Circle Adopter, which holds up to six ewes and lambs, proved highly cost effective during on-farm trials, says the company.

Supplied with bucket holders and buckets, the adopter has a safe area to either side of each ewe and optional holders for heat lamps.

Overall diameter is 3m when fully assembled and the adopter costs £399 (www.solwayrecycling.co.uk, 01387 730 666).
