Ryetec wood splitter can deal with larger diameter logs

Ryetec’s latest wood splitter range is aimed at farmers and estate owners who sell firewood on a commercial basis but are currently using automated processing machinery that limits the diameter of wood which can be logged.
Larger-diameter wood (which is often cheaper) does not work in this type of machine and few people are able to deal with it, says the company. However, by splitting these larger-diameter logs into quarters or smaller sections, they can then be fed through an automated processor.
The Ryetec Contractor splitters are available in 30t, 40t, 50t or 80t models. They can be specified with splitting beds from 1-3m and can come with full remote control operation.
Prices start at ÂŁ5,700 + VAT for the 30t unit with 1m splitting.
