Spaldings has launched a new 6m heavy duty tined weeder for controlling weeds in cereals, maize and brassicas.
The machine is designed to aerate the soil, boost the uptake of nitrogen and level and break down farmyard manure.
It carries 240 tines and the tine angle can be altered to suit the type of work or crop. It also has twin hydraulic rams for quick folding and a heavy-duty headstock.
The weeder can be fitted with the Spaldings broadcaster, giving maximum spreading flexibility for arable and grassland applications. This 6m machine folds hydraulically for transport to a width of 2.9m and there is no danger of tine tangle.
