PTx Trimble is the name of a new precision farming solutions business majority owned by Agco that encompasses Trimble’s agricultural products and services.

Announced last year (see Farmers Weekly, 20 October), the recently completed venture offers existing and future solutions – whether factory- or retro-fitted – for any brand of agricultural equipment.

Eric Hansotia, Agco’s chief executive, said:

“The formation of PTx Trimble enhances Agco’s comprehensive technology offering around guidance, autonomy, precision spraying, connected farming, data management and sustainability.

“It will provide farmers with greater access to next-generation precision ag tools, no matter what brands of tractors and implements they operate.”
