Manterra RTK network improves guidance accuracy

Precision farming specialist and Trimble dealer Manterra has launched a unique RTK radio network package to improve in-field guidance accuracy.

TerraNet has been developed by the company’s boss, Andrew Manfield, to provide a one-stop shop for network access, service support and on-farm training packages for farmers in the north of England.

Designed for users of Trimble, Case and New Holland precision farming equipment, TerraNet radio correction signal provides super-accurate guidance at a cost of £450/tractor, with discounts for multiple licences.

A second machine costs £400 and it will set you back £350 to put subsequent machines on the network when owned by a single business.

Subscribers can roam around the network from base to base at no additional cost, giving farmers and contractors plenty of flexibility.

At the same time, the company has launched its own service package. For an annual fee of £150 for the first vehicle and £50 for subsequent machines, the customer gets an annual farm visit to check the guidance system and apply any software updates.

The visit will also include on-site training for farm staff in operating the equipment, which can often be forgotten over the winter months.
