Agritechnica 2025: More lift capacity for JCB’s 7m Loadalls

A brace of 7m machines has been added to JCB’s telehandler line-up, offering up to 24% more lift capacity than the current 542-70.

The 546-70 is the lesser of the two, able to lift a maximum of 4.6t, while the heavier-duty 555-70 ups this to 5.5t.

Both are fitted with the firm’s own four-cylinder diesel engine, which can be purchased in a range of power and spec levels.

Agri Super is the entry-level option – only offered in the 546-70 – with 130hp on tap and a 40kph hybrid DualTech VT transmission.

Shelling out for the Agri Xtra pushes power up to 150hp, with the top-spec Agri Pro getting 173hp and a 50kph transmission with uprated brakes.

This version runs in rear-wheel drive on the road to improve acceleration and towing traction, but engages four-wheel drive when braking to enhance performance.

Air trailer braking is optional and can be installed at the factory.

Each model features load-sensing hydraulics with 160-litre/min output and has the option of JCB’s new IntelliAssist automation package.

This offers high and low return-to-dig functions, attachment angle memory, a height/reach limiter, and auto boom extension and retraction.

There’s also the option of an integrated weigher that records loads and, thanks to LiveLink integration, allows reports to be viewed online.

Both systems will be available across JCB’s Loadall Series III range.
