Bobcat sneaks in with compact new loader

With a width of just 2.1m sat on 24in boots, the new TL30.70 Agri from manufacturer Bobcat is destined for livestock and dairy units where shed space is at a premium.

Launched at Agritechnica last month, the new machine is the sixth telescopic loader built at the Bobcat factory in Pontchâteau, France.

The machine can reach 6.7m high and lift 3,000kg, thanks to a 100-litre/min hydraulic pump.

Running the same Hydro-Vario transmission used in the rest of the range, power comes from the Bobcat D34 engine offering 75 or 100hp options, which means it can tow 17t as long as the trailer is braked.

There are two options for cab mounting – just like the TL26.60 and TL30.60 – which means the lower option can sneak under gaps of 2.1m high, we’re told.

Features already on the other models such as Fast Connect for speedy switching between attachments and a Smart Handling System (that matches the speed of the boom movement to the type of work) are all standard on the new machine.

An automatic park brake, a fan inverter for keeping the radiators clean, cushioning on the final stage of the boom retract and a brand-new air suspended seat are also included.
