Agritechnica 2025: New Holland XDs push T7 range to 435hp
© Oliver Mark The CNH brands have once again synchronised like the two fingers of a Twix, with New Holland replicating Case IH’s launch of three bigger Optum models in unveiling a trio of equivalent T7 XDs.
These land slap bang in T8 territory, with the flagship T7.440 XD’s 435hp output matching that of the T8.435. Behind it comes the 360hp T7.360 XD and a mid-range 390hp version.

No surprise, then, that they run the same 8.7-litre Cursor 9 as the T8s, which delivers a serious upgrade in cubic capacity compared with the 6.7-litre unit used in the smaller T7s – including the 288-340hp HDs.
To handle this extra power, XDs also get stronger rear and suspended front axles, and a beefed up AutoCommand stepless transmission good for a 60kph top speed.
In addition, the diesel tank has grown by 13% to 680 litres, and the engine service interval extended to 750 hours.
Alongside the tractors, New Holland used Agritechnica to debut its ForageCam system.
As the name suggests, this employs a spout-mounted camera to capture images of passing material, with the footage analysed to give a kernel processing score.
The machine can respond automatically to this information by altering the corn cracker setup until it nails the desired quality.
Claas offers a broadly similar system, though it requires operators to take a picture of the chopped forage and upload it to a web platform for assessment.
