There are lots of static machinery shows around the country, but it’s not often that you get a chance to see tractors, handlers and other kit actually being used.
However that’s exactly what visitors to the Farm Handling Experience at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, got to see, try and experience. And, more than that, they had a chance to actually drive the machinery.
Whether it was a New Holland tractor, JCB loader or Merlo telehandler, it gave visitors a rare chance to drive several pieces of kit in one place.
The range of equipment was wide, too, from Caterpillar’s huge 926M Ag Handler to smaller machines such as Norcar’s pivot-steers.
Great Wall and Isuzu also gave visitors a chance try their latest pickup models, and Armatrac was showing its latest (and well-priced) Turkish-made tractor.
Other interesting bits of kit including RDS’ latest on-board Weighlog weigher, Amia’s neat-looking front-end loader and TMK’s tree-shear.
You can see the kit being tested by contractor Richard Burbage in this video.
