Avery’s Weigh-Tronix livestock/universal portable weighing system has been added to the Spaldings range. It turns any manual or hydraulic cattle crush into a working livestock scale, says the company, and can also be used for weighing pallets, boxes and bulk bags.

The weigh-beam system is easy to install, adds the company, and can be used as a portable or permanent weigher. The low-profile beams stand less than 75mm high, are made of heavy-duty steel and are sealed against moisture.

The maximum weight that can be measured is 2,270kg and the weight indicator is compatible with herd-management EID software packages. Cost has not been revealed yet.
