Wessex SF350 stock feeder trailer from Broadwood International is a galvanised all-steel unit with a mechanical ground wheel to provide the drive.

It’s a completely non-electric unit with a simple adjustable feed system and a hopper that holds 350kg of feed. A cover keeps the feed dry in wet weather.

A rotating drum under the hopper is turned by the wheels and a sliding gate allows feed from the hopper to be deposited it on the ground. Feed rate is simply adjusted by sliding the gate in the drum.

Optional extras include a chute for loading feed directly into a bucket or trough, plus an electronic feed rate counter with an LCD display which measures the number of drops the snacker makes in the field. Price is £1235.
