Zara Phillips unveils limited edition Land Rover Defender SVX at British Red Cross Ball

To celebrate its 60th birthday, Land Rover has added a bit of bling to the Defender.
Unveiled by Zara Phillips at the British Red Cross Ball in London on Weds (21st Nov 07), the SVX gets a chunky silver sprayed grille, clear-lens headlights, tubular side-steps, alloys and LED tail-lamps.
Inside there are Recaro racing seats, alloy trim, a new stereo (with subwoofer and USB socket), iPod cradle and Garmin sat-nav.
The world’s first SVX was donated by Land Rover UK to the British Red Cross to auction at the ball.
A total of 200 SVX vehicles will be made available in the UK- 140 two-seat Defender 90 soft-tops and 60 four-seat 90 station wagons.
Production of the Defender SVX will start in spring 2008, with deliveries to customers starting from early summer for soft-tops and later in the summer for station wagons. Prices will be announced later in the year.
