3000gns for HF

A COW bought in a batch of milkers was sold for the top price of 3000gns when Messrs Eric Dennett and Son dispersed its Hundleby herd of Holstein Friesians.

A good crowd turned out at the Sale Centre, Penrith for this Lincolnshire herds dispersal, where the top call came for the smart young cow Sherwood View Raider Lulu.

She was sold dry and due in June to Townson Lindy. Buyers were D R Brown, Sedgefield, Co Durham.

AVERAGES: 77 cows £907; five served heifers £701 and seven empty heifers £400. (Norton and Brooksbank)
