Hants farmer Robert Champness got a shock recently when a helicopter made an emergency landing in his hay field. He says its sudden arrival was unappreciated by the sheep and free-range chickens. A low-loader was soon on the scene, however, and with a little careful manoeuvring across a small river bridge, the chopper was taken to be repaired and checked. "Chickens and sheep are now doing well," says Robert, who farms at Winchfield.
