Brain strain… Visitors to KW Alternative Feeds stand could win a lorry load of its new product CITraffordgold – a high energy, 20% protein, palatable, maize-based moist feed produced at a glucose refinery. This makes it highly traceable, according to brand manager Chris Hoare. It can complement forage diets by increasing dry matter intakes or can replace concentrates. Feeding 10kg of CITraffordgold will replace the energy supplied by 5kg of an 18% high energy concentrate, he added. It costs about £46/t.
