Uplifting sight…Jersey potatoes being harvested 10 days earlier than usual. Lifting started on Apr 13. Farmer Peter Simons, of Bethel House Farm on the island grows 20ha (50 acres) of potatoes yielding 10t/ha. This sandy field was one of his heaviest soils.
