Asda own brands are free of GMOs
SUPERMARKET Asda has added further impetus to the anti-GM debate by declaring its own brand products to be free of genetically modified ingredients.
An Asda spokeswoman said that the supermarkets move towards GM-free products began six months ago when it told suppliers that they should stop using modified soya.
"Now we have secured certified non-GM sources for our suppliers to use and we will help our suppliers to adhere to our requirements," she said. *
