Barrel pumps cope with difficult fluids

DISPENSING difficult or hazardous fluids from drums is not the easiest or safest of operations. The PF range of barrel emptying pumps from Michael Smith Engineers could now provide an answer.

The company is offering a range of seven different capacity pumps each available in three lengths to suit a variety of container sizes. Capable of being dry run for up to 30 minutes without harm, pumps can transfer up to 150 litres/min and are claimed to be able to operate against discharge heads of up to 24m, depending on liquid viscosity.

Motor options include air drives, and 110V and 230V electric drives.
