Biofuels campaign steams ahead

THE number of MPs pushing for a reduction in tax on biofuels continues to rise in response to farmers weeklys campaign.

By Wed, Jun 26, 107 politicians had signed the Early Day Motion put forward by Labour MP Paddy Tipping (Sherwood).

The motion calls for a cut a 20p/litre cut in the rate of duty for biodiesel to put it on an equal footing with other environmentally friendly fuels such as liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and compressed natural gas (CNG).

But the more MPs that sign the motion the more likely the government will be to take action. So please play your part in defending our industry by signing the form below and sending it to your MP. &#42

Dear …………………………………………………………………………………. MP

As my MP, I urge you to support the EDM Motion No 1385 as I believe a UK biodiesel and bioethanol industry offers substantial benefits to both the environment and the rural economy.
