Bird safeguards
SCOTTISH farm minister Lord Sewel has welcomed the publication of a leaflet giving farmers and crofters advice on safeguarding the endangered corncrake.
The leaflet, Farms, Crofts and Corncrakes, produced by a partnership including the Scottish Office, RSPB and Scottish Natural Heritage, outlines the management practices that can be adopted to safeguard the birds habitat. *
