Booker sells Arbor Acres for £68m
BOOKER has sold its Arbor Acres poultry breeding business to BC Partners for £68.3 million.
BC Partners, a private equity group, bought Ross Breeders, Hillsdowns chicken breeding business last December for just over £100m.
When the two businesses are amalgamated the group will have the largest poultry breeding business in the world.
Arbor Acres contributed £14.5m to the operating profits of Booker for the 65 weeks to March this year and has net assets of £27.2m.
