Brussels claws back funds after CAP ‘irregularities’
THE European Commission is to claw back about £345 million from European Union countries after finding “irregularities” in the dispersal of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) funds.
Spain suffered the largest 1995 clawback, with much of the correction relating to the arable sector. France was second highest while Britain was third.
