Butch the Tamworth immortalised in stone.

Butch the Tamworth immortalised in stone.

BUTCH, the legendary Tamworth pig, who escaped with his pal Sundance from an abattoir in Malmesbury, Wiltshire last year, is about to become immortalised.

He has been carved onto a pinnacle to grace the 13th century Lady Chapel at
Hereford Cathedral as part of a £1 million restoration plan.

The Tamworth two are now living in comfort at a sanctuary after national
newspapers paid for their freedom.

A third pig who failed in its dash for freedom has, apparently, been
“processed in the usual way”.
